Open Highway BGB

Open Highway band is proud to welcome Ryan Abercrombie. His rhythm guitar playing, and powerful vocals are unmatched. He is also full of laughs as you will notice during his performances. And is an all-round good 'ol country boy. He has been around bluegrass music for 20+ years and has always admired Dan Tyminski, Lonesome River Band, and Third Tyme Out. He makes his home in the hills of eastern Ohio and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and kids. Ryan is surrounded by a great family tradition of music, hard work, and fundamental values and fits right in with the current members of the band. He started playing music at the age of 9, as he played onstage with a family band. Then as he crossed paths with Steven Moore, they formed a band called Almost Famous at the age of 13. They played many venues and gigs across the tristate area. After about a ten-year stint of working in the oil fields, he came back to the love of music and joined the Open Highway band and now says he's "back to doing what I've always loved."
