Open Highway band is proud to welcome Ryan Abercrombie. His rhythm guitar playing, and powerful vocals are unmatched. He is also full of laughs as you will notice during his performances. And is an all-round good 'ol country boy. He has been around bluegrass music for 20+ years and has always admired Dan Tyminski, Lonesome River Band, and Third Tyme Out. He makes his home in the hills of eastern Ohio and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and kids. Ryan is surrounded by a great family...

Greatest Hits Release 2021/2022

THe Open Highway BGB has released a Greatest Hits album for the 2021/2022 season. Some of these hits range from 2002 through 2012 with many great past and present members. Feel free to pick up a copy and enjoy as well as the other "3" projects the band currently has available

Sad report--original founder Jim Duty Sr passes

Words cannot express mine and my family and the bands appreciation and love for Jim. He was one of a kind and truly will be missed! Hes picking some grass and having a "yard sale" in heaven for sure!!

Hey folks wanted to give you a quick update here on the live CD that the Open Highway Bgb worked on in the fall of 2021... We are still working with Clay Hess and have been trying to get this finalized sometime here spring or early summer of 2022 more information and details to follow a definitely hope to be out sometime here soon for you're listening!!

Hello all... The Open Highway bgb is proud to announce that a new member has been added to the group. John Keith, with a great resume and much,much talent has stepped up to take on playing mandolin for the band. A great Monroe style mandolin player, awesome singer and multi-tantented in many other instruments as well, that the band has been looking for for over a year. Howdy folks... Well it's been a while since the band has been able to perform a live show (as with most bands throughout the country things have been pretty scarce) but we have been asked and have been wanting to do a live FB show which is now set for Saturday Jan 30th at 2 p.m.....

Open Highway is looking to get back in the studio here in 2021!! we are wanting to start start laying down some demo tracks and hoping to get some new material out here for 2018!!
